There is a sample of the Monopoly game to illustrate how the game goes, and the most important of these rules are:
- Determine the player tokens and their number, a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 8 players, and select the banker. Each player is then given $1,500 in cash.
- Start from the starting point and move clockwise according to the number of dots on the dice.
- A player can purchase a free property upon landing on it, thus their opponents pay rent for it while they are on it.
- If the property is owned by the opponent, the player will pay rent to him in return.
- If the player refuses to buy the free property, the bank will put it up for auction and then sell it to the highest bidder.
- When a player owns a group of properties of a uniform color group, he becomes a monopoly on it and can double the rent to his opponent.
- A player goes to jail if they land on a square containing a Go to Jail sign, choose a card with the same meaning, or roll a dice and get a matching pair three times in a row.
- The player gets out of jail by throwing the dice and getting a pair of the same number three times in a row, using a get-out-of-jail card, or paying $50.
- In prison, a player is allowed to play, buy property, and collect rent while incarcerated. However, he or she cannot move around the game board until he or she is released and free.
- The player can sell his properties to the bank or mortgage them, and recover them later.
- The first player to go bankrupt and fail to pay the rent due loses the game, while the player with the highest balance of properties and money wins.
